The band was formed by Tiago Viotto and Eduardo
Silva in April of 1998. They had been playing together since 1996,
and had always wanted to set up a band like the The Wanteds, that
could be faithful to the classic pop and rock of the sixties and
seventies but with their own new original compositions. The drummer,
Anderson Garcia, joined the band at the same time in 1998, and then
during the next couple of years several other musicians came and
went. This turnover was due to an incompatibility with the style of
music be worked on, and only in the year 2000, the band was complete
with the addition of Alexandre Rossi.
Since then the Wanteds have
played constantly in their hometown, in a large nearby town, many
towns in the nearby region, and also in the huge metropolis of Sao
Paulo. Winning awards as a Beatles Cover band, and playing a wide
variety of classic pop and rock tunes, the fame of the band has
grown to what it is today.
In 2003, their first CD was
released called I Can’t Complain with original compositions by the
band itself. Several local businesses have sponsored the band in its
endeavours, as well as one of the Universities in the town. With all
of this work, supported and well-planned, the Wanteds hope to go
international.
